DYK: We currently have 11 peafowl here at the NEW Zoo, and Perservere, our only peahen, is also our only white-feathered bird! That makes her easily recognizable from the brightly-colored peacocks. What she lacks in color, she makes up for in attitude! After all, the boys are always trying to impress her 🦚

A LOT of work goes into preparing each year for North Shore Bank Zoo Boo... and that's why we are so grateful for the support of our corporate partners! Each year, local businesses send employee groups to help us prepare and decorate throughout September. Pictured here are several teams from Associated Bank, Capital Credit Union, Greatland Corporation, La Force, Prevea, and Wipfli. We couldn't make Zoo Boo happen without such amazing teamwork. Thank you for your support!

Koji is doing amazing! He's started to explore the outdoor yard in the mornings while the other macaques are inside. Zookeeper Jessica stays with him, providing comfort and assurance as he finds his courage to explore farther and farther away from her. He's so brave!

Makari is such a gentleman 🎩
Guess what, y'all: Current plans are for him to make his public debut sometime next week! We're super excited, but we expect he'll be a bit shy and may stay well hidden for a time as he settles into his outdoor digs. Once he's visible, we'll let you know!
