Session 1 of Summer School starts June 15, 2026! Here are a few reminders:
🚌 Transportation may be provided for elementary and middle school students, using centralized pick-up spots.
🍎 Breakfast and lunch are provided for all students attending Summer School.
🎒 Students do not need to bring supplies; they are highly encouraged to bring a backpack.

Summer School Session 1 runs from June 15-July 10, 2026 (No classes June 19 or week of June 29-July 3, 2026) for Elementary students and from June 15-July 7, 2026 (No classes June 19 or July 3, 2026) for Middle & High School students.

Learning doesn't stop when school lets out. Neither does the need for good nutrition! This year's Summer Meals Program starts at community sites on June 10, 2026. Meals begin at summer school buildings on June 15, 2026. ☀️

All children (not only GBAPS students) 18 years old and younger can receive free summer meals from GBAPS. Families do not have to qualify for free/reduced meals to participate.

The Green Bay Area Public School District's School and Community Relations team visited Green Bay Head Start on May 22, 2026, to present Head Start with the 2026 Wisconsin School Public Relations Association (WSPRA) Amplify Award. This award recognizes those who have gone above and beyond to amplify the efforts of school public relations and communications. 🏆

Head Start staff excel at communicating the great things happening at their schools. They go above and beyond at showcasing what is going on in their classrooms and highlighting family and community engagement on social media. Congratulations, Principal Patty Mevis, Principal Rachel De La Cruz and the Head Start team! 🎉

On May 18, we celebrate 61 years of Head Start and the more than 40 million children and families it has served.

Families had the opportunity to see their student's hard work at the Green Bay Head Start Art Show on May 7, 2026. Both Green Bay Head Start locations held art shows with hallways full of art displays and a GLOW art exhibit.
