“This (Bravo Company) is the missing link for the transitioning process. I think this would help so many veterans feel more at home within their community because they have at least one other veteran they can reach out to. When leaving the service (especially coming off active duty), everything in your world changes. The military prepares you for that, but not necessarily when it comes to routine. Because even if you change duty stations or have to work a different job, the same routine is there – rules, uniform, protocol. In the civilian world everything is your decision, there isn’t a heavy routine and if you don’t move back to where you grew up (like me), you have to find a new support network.”
~ Shauna Rafferty, Coast Guard Veteran.
“The period after returning home from active duty can be confusing, isolating, and overwhelming. Bravo Company, NEW Battalion is here to support veterans during their transition to civilian life and create a community for those returning home after bravely serving our country.”
~ Rep. Mike Gallagher CPT USMC

What is a Sponsor?
A sponsor is a guide who helps eliminate frustration when a returning service member or veteran re-enters civilian life after military service. Once the contact form is filled out, a sponsor will reach out and set up a meeting to find out the veteran’s concerns. The sponsor will then work with the veteran to reveal the many services and programs available in Brown County and the state of Wisconsin.
