Mayor Genrich was on hand today to issue a joint proclamation alongside Village of Allouez officials, declaring today Bellin Run Day in the City of Green Bay and the Village of Allouez. The proclamation recognized the 50th Annual Bellin Run 10K & 5K Run/Walk, a Green Bay tradition since 1977 that has grown into one of the largest 10K races in the nation. the City looks forward to seeing thousands of runners and walkers take to our streets tomorrow, Saturday, June 13, for another milestone year of this iconic event.

Mayor Genrich joined the Green Bay Area Public School District yesterday to kick off their 2026 Summer Meal Program, which runs through August 14 at city parks and community partner locations across the City. The program provides free breakfast and lunch to any child 18 and younger, regardless of whether they are enrolled in GBAPS, and serves around 6,000 lunches on a typical summer day. Families can find the nearest meal site at foodservice.gbaps.org/summermeals.

This morning, Mayor Genrich welcomed approximately 45 professionals from across Wisconsin to Green Bay as the Wisconsin Small Business Development Center network gathered at Hotel Northland's Crystal Ballroom for its annual statewide meeting. The Wisconsin SBDC is a nationally accredited network providing no-cost, confidential consulting and business education to entrepreneurs at every stage, from startup to succession planning, with nine centers located at UW campuses throughout the state. Green Bay is proud to be the host city for this gathering of dedicated small business supporters.

Mayor Eric Genrich joined Tiona Petrouske and her team today to celebrate the ribbon cutting at her newly renovated State Farm Insurance office at 406 N. Monroe Avenue in downtown Green Bay. Tiona founded her State Farm agency in 2017 and has built a strong presence in this community ever since. She serves on the Executive Board for Downtown Green Bay Inc. and volunteers with the Green Bay Holiday Parade, making her one of downtown's most dedicated advocates.

Earlier today, Mayor Eric Genrich welcomed more than 700 registered guests to the Wisconsin Drives Manufacturing Summit, now underway at Lambeau Field.

The two-day summit brings together industry leaders from across Wisconsin and beyond to focus on the challenges and opportunities shaping the future of manufacturing, including workforce development, technology and automation, and supply chain resilience.

Mayor Genrich helps celebrate a new chapter at Historic Joannes Stadium this evening, joining the Green Bay Blue Ribbons to dedicate the stadium’s new double tunnel batting cages and take a few swings himself.

The new cages were made possible through support from Cherry Optical, Green Bay Parks and Recreation, the Green Bay Blue Ribbons, Home Team Sports and Apparel, the Preble Baseball Booster Club, Drexel Building Supply, and the Michael Wertel family, and will benefit both the Blue Ribbons and the many local high school teams that call Joannes Stadium home.

Joannes Stadium and Joannes Park remain a cornerstone for community baseball and public gatherings on Green Bay’s east side, and the City of Green Bay is proud to support the Blue Ribbons as they head into the 2026 season.

This afternoon, Mayor Eric Genrich joined the United Patriotic Society of Green Bay for the community’s annual Memorial Day Ceremony at Admiral Flatley Park along the Fox River. Surrounded by veterans, military families, and neighbors, he paid respects to the service members who gave their lives in defense of our country.

Mayor Genrich extends his deep appreciation to the United Patriotic Society and all participating veteran service organizations for their continued commitment to honoring our fallen heroes. He is grateful to everyone who took time on this Memorial Day to gather in reflection, share in a moment of silence, and ensure that the sacrifices of these brave men and women are never forgotten.
