EAGLE III had a great time attending the Packers Safety Zone this past weekend at Lambeau Field.

It was a fun day connecting with families, meeting members of the community, and talking about the work we do every day. We always appreciate opportunities like this to get out into the community and spend time with the people we serve.

Thanks to the Green Bay Packers organization for having us, and to everyone who stopped by to visit with the crew!

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. 💚

In EMS we see people on some of the hardest days of their lives - and those experiences can take a toll on responders, too. This month is a reminder that mental health matters for everyone, including first responders.

Checking in on one another, asking for help, and supporting our crews is just as important as the care we provide in the field.

🚲🏍️ Motorcycle & Bicycle Safety in Wisconsin 🏍️🚲

Motorcycles and bicycles are a common sight on Wisconsin roads, especially as the weather warms up. They’re a great way to travel but they also come with increased risks due to limited protection and reduced visibility.

Many crashes happen at intersections, during lane changes, or when riders are in a vehicle’s blind spot. Road conditions like gravel, potholes, or wet pavement can also become dangerous very quickly especially for those on two wheels.

Safety is a shared responsibility. Riders and drivers alike can help prevent serious incidents by staying alert, watching for one another, and giving extra space. Simple actions like double checking before turning or keeping a safe following distance can make all the difference.

Eagle III regularly responds to serious traffic incidents involving motorcycles and bicycles. These calls are a reminder of how quickly situations can change and how many crashes could be prevented with greater awareness and caution.

Shoutout to Door County EMS for their outstanding clinical decision-making and use of auto-launch with EAGLE III.

That kind of forethought matters. Early activation reduces total scene time and shortens the interval from incident to definitive care, exactly where we make the biggest impact on patient outcomes.

A quick reminder to all EMS providers: don’t delay, call early. If you’re even considering air transport, initiate the request right away and sort out the details while en route. Early activation can make a critical difference.
