This week, headlines are everywhere saying Florida is now the hardest state in the country to sell a home.
With higher inventory, longer days on market, and fewer homes selling above asking, it's a dramatic shift from the frenzy of just a few years ago.
So what does that mean for Wisconsin?
Not much.
One of the biggest misconceptions about real estate is that the entire country moves in the same direction at the same time.
It doesn't.
Every market has its own story.
Here in Wisconsin, we're continuing to see a much steadier market than many parts of the country.
While inventory has improved from the historic lows of the past few years, we're not seeing the same level of oversupply that's putting pressure on sellers in places like Florida.
Well-priced homes are still attracting buyers, and local market conditions remain far more balanced than many of the national headlines would have you believe.
That's why national headlines can be helpful...
…but they shouldn't make your real estate decisions for you.
If you're thinking about buying, selling, downsizing, or relocating, the question isn't:
"What's happening nationally?"
It's:
"What's happening in my market?"
That's the conversation worth having.
Because real estate has always been local. 🤍
