❤️ "I would not have found him if it wasn't for Randy. And for the Red Cross."

After more than 12 years without contact with her father in Switzerland, a Montana woman turned to the American Red Cross Restoring Family Links program for help. With support from Red Cross volunteer Randy Warburton and the global Red Cross network, she was finally able to reconnect with her father.

Now, they're planning a long-awaited reunion.

September is National Preparedness Month.

PREPAREDNESS TIP OF THE WEEK: Disasters can happen anytime, and being prepared looks different for everyone. For people who rely on medical equipment, mobility devices or other assistive technology, taking a few extra steps now can make a big difference during an emergency.

✅ Have a manual wheelchair available if you use an electric wheelchair.
✅ Know how to use a backup power source for essential medical equipment.
✅ Teach trusted family members, friends, or neighbors how to operate equipment you may rely on during a disaster.

Preparedness starts with a plan. This National Preparedness Month, take time to review your emergency supplies, update your plan and make sure your unique needs are included.

❤️ A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers and partners who came together for the Crow Shelter Day of Service in Pryor last week.

Working side by side with FEMA, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Crow Maintenance and community volunteers, we helped prepare shelter spaces for families participating in FEMA's Permanent Housing Construction Program.

From deep cleaning and organizing living spaces to assembling beds and preparing welcoming common areas, volunteers rolled up their sleeves to help create safe, comfortable places for families as they continue their recovery journey.

Strong partnerships and dedicated volunteers make this work possible. Thank you to everyone who gave their time, energy and heart to support Crow families and help strengthen the community. ❤️

The destruction caused by flash flooding in Nepal is devastating. Fast-moving water and debris washed away communities in a matter of moments.

Nepal Red Cross Society teams are on the ground, providing drinking water, first aid kits and other support to people affected by the flooding. Local teams are also assessing the situation and identifying how best to support communities in the days and months ahead.

Damage to roads and bridges has made it difficult to reach some areas, and in certain communities, aid can only be delivered by helicopter. The situation is challenging, but teams remain committed to getting assistance to those affected by this disaster.
