We are a non-partisan group of people from Cascade County who are organized to work on projects to help build our community. Our mission is:
The Community Action Team is a nonpartisan group that believes in supporting and organizing around equality, social justice, access to rights and service, and education in order to make Montana a better place for all. As our nation, state and local commun
ity moves forward in 2017 and beyond there will be many challenges to ensuring social justice and equality for all our citizens. These challenges will include access to needed quality health care, ensuring safety for our children and families, confronting those who may encourage fear and violence, providing economic equality, and supporting respect for people's values, lifestyles and beliefs. The Great Falls Community Action Team is committed to supporting our friends, neighbors, our state, and nation in confronting these challenges by:
· Creating a stronger progressive voice for justice for those people at risk of being marginalized, including seniors, veterans, women, minorities, LGBTQ, and other disenfranchised groups.
· Building a strong coalition of individuals including women, men, youth, who can support each other and their community when facing any acts of hatred, discrimination, or illegal actions.
· Providing advocacy for progressive policy and resources that support the mission and vigorously opposing that which will bring harm to people.
· Encouraging a stronger community voice through political participation by registering voters and encouraging political engagement with our leadership at local (county, city, and school), state, and national levels.
· Supporting existing organizations who are strong advocates for social justice, anti-discrimination, stopping hatred, access to quality health care, public education, veterans services, and senior citizens.
· Providing information via social media, meetings, rallies, training events, and press that support the above positions.
