🫀Hands Only CPR🫀

Join us Sunday, June 14th 2026!
Stop by any time between 12-4 p.m.

Do you know how to help someone in cardiac arrest?

About 90% of people who experience cardiac arrest at home, work, or in public will die because they didn’t receive immediate CPR.

Before help arrives, YOU are the first responder! Knowing CPR means you’re prepared to save the life of a loved one or a stranger.

This training is free and pre-registration is not required. Due to safety concerns, this event is for adults only.

Please note that this is NOT a certification course. Training takes less than 30 minutes!

We sure have grown!

On This Day in Fairfax County History:

May 5, 1942: The Great Falls Volunteer Fire Department is organized. The first firehouse, pictured here, was originally a two-bay auto repair garage with a brick front and cinder block walls. The department grew from a small volunteer group with one truck into a fully staffed fire and rescue station serving Great Falls around the clock.

Over the years, GFVFD expanded its training, equipment, rescue services, and facilities, leading to the opening of a modern environmentally friendly station in 2011.
