The City Commission is seeking citizens interested in serving on the Parking Advisory Commission to fill the remainder of a three-year term through April 30, 2027. The city will accept applications from interested citizens through Friday June 26, 2026.

The Commission consists of five members, appointed by the City Commission, and an ex-officio member appointed by the Business Improvement District. Experience or interest in the Great Falls Central Business District is helpful but not necessary. The Commission advises the City Commission, City Manager, and Planning & Community Development staff on matters related to parking issues within the Downtown Parking District. Applicants must reside within the City of Great Falls. Members serve without compensation.

The City of Great Falls and Cascade County are accepting applications for an appointment to the Great Falls Transit District Board of Trustees to fill a four-year term ending December 31, 2029.

The Board consists of five members, three elected, one representative appointed by the City Commission and one member appointed by the Board of Cascade County Commissioners. Terms for two of the elected members expired on May 31, 2026. With no candidates filing by the February 4, 2026 deadline, the May 5, 2026 election was cancelled by the County Elections Administrator. An advertisement to solicit citizen interest was done with only one application being received. One of the positions was filled through an appointment by the Board of Cascade County Commissioners on May 26 and confirmed by the City Commission on June 2, 2026.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, June 26, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. and can be submitted at either the Cascade County Commission Office at 325 2nd Avenue North Room 111, Great Falls, Montana or the City Managerโ€™s Office at 2 Park Drive South, Room 201, Great Falls, Montana.
