Cody Harris for Great Bend City Council Ward #3 After 12 years in Great Bend, I’m ready to give back by serving on City Council (3rd Ward).

I’ve long wanted to get involved in local government and now is the time. I’m committed to helping our city grow, thrive, and be the best it can be for everyone.

Despite the outcome not meeting my expectations, I will continue to strive for excellence in my efforts to enhance Great Bend. The underlying mission has always taken precedence over any title. If we aspire to have our kids return, we must initiate positive change. Instead of lamenting, I will persist in volunteering, engaging in community endeavors, and driving growth. Although I may not possess a personal history with the area, having selected it as my residence, I am dedicated to making Great Bend my home and remain confident that we can improve it.

As Election Day approaches, I would be honored to earn your vote.

I’m committed to giving my all and leading with transparency, it's a balance. My goal is to help Great Bend grow and thrive. We need to make our community a place where new businesses want to come — but just as importantly, we must support and strengthen the businesses we already have.

Growth takes balance, teamwork, and vision — and I believe we can achieve it together. When new businesses choose Great Bend, let’s remember they’re investing in our community — they could have chosen anywhere else, but they chose here.

This election is incredibly important and will have an immediate impact on our community’s future. I encourage you to get out and vote — and I hope you’ll choose Cody Harris for Ward 3.

As the election gets closer, you won’t see any signs on the streets from me.
I work at Sunflower Diversified Services, which operates the recycling program in our surrounding areas — and I believe campaign signs, while common, can be expensive and wasteful.

Think about it: what happens to those signs after the election? Are they reused, or do they end up in the landfill? I’d rather take a different approach.

Instead of investing in signs, I want to invest in conversations — real ones. I plan to use social media and personal connections to talk with my neighbors, hear your thoughts and concerns, and work together toward solutions.

My focus is on the people of Great Bend. If you choose to vote for me, I’ll do my very best to represent our Ward and our community with honesty, accountability, and care.

I’m excited to announce that I’m running for City Council to represent Ward 3. My family and I have called this place home for 12 years now. In that time, my amazing wife, our three daughters, and I have fallen in love with this community and the people.

In my role as Director of Planned Giving and Community Support at Sunflower Diversified, and as the current Vice President of the Noon Lions Club, I’ve been fortunate to meet so many people who care about making a difference and want to see the community grow and thrive.

I’m all about making Great Bend an even better place to live, work, and raise a family, and I’m ready to get to work.
