We have new items available June 1st in our Library of Things! These range from outdoor games, a kid microscope, a telescope, to a crochet kit and a ghost hunter kit. There's a wide range to choose from and they are available for all Crawford County patrons! This is a new category for us, so please be patient as we make adjustments and work out the kinks for utilizing these items.

There will be a form that has to be filled out upon checkout, these items are available to be checked out by Crawford County residents 18 or older. Limit one item per household. Items will be inspected prior to being checked in for damage, excessive wear and tear, or missing items, and your account will be billed appropriately.

The actual items are kept in the back room, all you need to do is take the box/item sheet from the shelf and take it to the circulation desk for staff to grab and checkout the item for you.

The Tiny Art show is coming back for Summer Reading! You can register and pick up your art kit at the Summer Reading registration on June 10th, but they will also be available through the 12th.*
The theme is UnEarth a Story, so anything archeology, paleontology, dinosaur, or geology related will fit! This is for all ages, so stop in, get a kit, and make some art!

*While supplies last.

We’d like to thank our community for their patience while the library was closed yesterday.

Our staff spent the day participating in important training with Christin Wargo from Frederic Twp Fire & EMS, learning how to “Stop the Bleed” and respond in emergency situations. We are always looking for ways to better serve and support our patrons, and this training provided valuable lifesaving skills.

We also rolled up our sleeves and spent time putting the finishing touches on plans for our Summer Reading Program! We can’t wait to experience all the exciting events, activities, and adventures we have planned for this year’s theme, Unearth a Story 🦕📚

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back to the library!

We came out of our cocoon on Tuesday with Miss Makenna! 🦋✨

Our little patrons got creative making colorful paper plate butterflies, and each one turned out so unique and beautiful. We loved seeing all the bright colors, smiles, and imagination take flight during craft time!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon full of creativity and fun — we can’t wait to see you at the next craft program! 💛

A reminder for our patrons:

When you check out a hot spot there are 4 things that come in the case, the hotspot, the charging cord, the log in card, and the fine reminder card. When you check out the hot spot you are assuming responsibility for all these items. Failure to return any of these items with the hotspot will cause your account to be billed. The replacement costs are as follows:
Fine card - $5
Log in card - $5
Damaged/lost case - $10
Lost and/incorrect cord - $10

The picture shows that our cords are marked with pink tags. If you do not return the correct cord that went out with the hotspot you WILL be billed $10. There have been charging cords that have been returned that were NOT the cord that was in the case when it was checked out. This is something that we will be observing, so please make sure you are not swapping out charging cords. An account that has unpaid bills is automatically blocked from using library resources.

Thank you for helping us keep all the hotspot items together and ensuring the hotspots are available as soon as possible for check out after they are returned.
