Deputies Recognized for Heroic Efforts
June 12, 2026

Today, Sheriff Tim Soignet would like to proudly recognize three Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Deputies who were honored by University Medical Center for their life-saving actions during the 2026 Mardi Gras season.

While working parade security, the Deputies responded to a young girl who suffered a serious injury after falling from a flatbed trailer. The fall resulted in a deep laceration to her leg and significant blood loss. Drawing upon their training and remaining calm under pressure, the Deputies quickly rendered aid and applied a tourniquet to control the bleeding until emergency medical personnel arrived.

Their actions exemplified the importance of the “Stop the Bleed” initiative, which equips first responders and members of the public with the skills needed to intervene during life-threatening bleeding emergencies.

We are happy to report that the young patient made a full recovery, and her outcome serves as a testament to the Deputies’ quick thinking, training, and commitment to protecting the citizens of Terrebonne Parish.

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office congratulates these deputies on this well-deserved recognition and thanks them for their dedication, professionalism, and service to our community.

“When seconds matter, training saves lives. These Deputies demonstrated exactly why preparedness and decisive action are so important,” said Sheriff Tim Soignet. “We are proud of their efforts and grateful for the positive outcome in this case.”

CONVICTED FELON ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE NARCOTICS AND FI****MS CHARGES
June 11, 2026

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet is pleased to announce the arrest of a Houma man in connection with a narcotics-based investigation, that resulted in both illegal drugs and weapons being removed from our streets. Deputies arrested Justin Anthony Singleton, 35, of Houma, on numerous narcotics and weapons violations.

On June 10, 2026, an investigation began when Deputies received information related to a vehicle owned by a man wanted for felony charges, which was seen driving in the area of Tunnel Blvd, near Lee Avenue. While Deputies patrolled the area for the vehicle, it was later located parked at a residence in the 300 block of Prince Collins Street, in Houma.

While conducting follow-up investigative efforts, Deputies made contact with a male resident at the home, who was identified as Justin Anthony Singleton. Singleton confirmed that the vehicle is registered to the wanted suspect; However, he was the current owner.

During the contact, Deputies detected a strong odor of ma*****na coming from within the residence. Based on the odor, observations made on scene, and information developed during the investigation, a court-authorized search warrant was obtained for both the residence and the vehicle.

During the search, Deputies located multiple quantities of suspected he**in, ma*****na, psychedelic mushrooms, numerous forms of drug paraphernalia used in narcotics distribution, a firearm, and cash. Deputies were able to determine that the firearm, narcotics, and related evidence, were located in a bedroom occupied by Singleton. Deputies also confirmed that Singleton is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing fi****ms under Louisiana law.

Justin Anthony Singleton was arrested and transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex where he was booked on charges of Illegal Carrying of a Weapon in the Presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Possession of CDS II, Possession with Intent to Distribute CDS I (3 counts), and Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses.

Sheriff Tim Soignet praised the efforts of the Deputies and Narcotics Agents involved in the investigation.

“This arrest demonstrates the effectiveness of combining modern technology with proactive law enforcement efforts to identify and remove dangerous offenders, illegal narcotics, and fi****ms from our neighborhoods,” said Sheriff Tim Soignet. “The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office remains committed to aggressively targeting those who choose to distribute illegal drugs and engage in criminal activity that threatens the safety of our community.”

Anonymous Tip Leads to Narcotics Investigation and Arrest
June 10, 2026

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet is pleased to announce that the TPSO Narcotics Division recently concluded a narcotics investigation that originated from an anonymous tip submitted the previous day, by a concerned citizen through the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Tip Line. The investigative information provided by the caller prompted Narcotics Agents to initiate an investigation, which resulted in the arrest of a local man on multiple drug and firearm-related charges. Justin Dijon Warren, 32, of Houma, was arrested in connection with the investigation.

In response to the anonymous tip, Agents conducted proactive patrols of a known area linked to Warren, and ultimately located him occupying a vehicle. As Agents approached Warren inside the vehicle, Authorities immediately observed what appeared to be illegal narcotics in plain view. Warren immediately began making movements within the vehicle to intentionally conceal the contraband, and ignored the commands provided by Authorities. The defiant behavior by Warren led to a physical confrontation between him and Agents, and a Taser 10 control device was utilized to place Warren into custody.

A subsequent search of Warren’s vehicle led to the recovery of suspected illegal narcotics, drug-related paraphernalia, and currency believed to be associated with narcotics activity. Agents also completed a court-authorized search warrant for Warren’s home where additional narcotics related items were recovered, in addition to a firearm. Further review of the weapon confirmed that it appeared to be altered to fully automatic. A search of Warren’s criminal history confirmed that he is currently a Convicted Felon in the State of Louisiana.

Agents arrested Warren on charges of Possession with the Intent to Distribute CDS II (Methamphetamines), Possession with the Intent to Distribute CDS I (He**in), Transactions involving Drug Proceeds, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Obstruction of Justice, Resisting with Force or Violence, Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of Narcotics, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Handling of Machine Guns. Warren remains jailed on a $250,000.00 bond by local judges.

Sheriff Tim Soignet emphasized the vital role the community plays in combating illegal drug activity.

“This case is a direct result of a concerned citizen taking the time to report suspicious activity through our Narcotics Tip Line,” said Sheriff Tim Soignet. “Anonymous tips from the public continue to be one of the most valuable tools available to law enforcement. When residents see something and say something, it helps us identify criminal activity, remove dangerous narcotics from our neighborhoods, and improve the safety and quality of life for everyone in Terrebonne Parish.”

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office encourages residents to continue reporting suspected narcotics activity and other criminal behavior. Information provided by community members often serves as the starting point for successful investigations and enforcement actions.

Anyone wishing to report suspected drug activity may do so anonymously through the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Tip Line.

TPSO MAKES ARREST FOLLOWING ONGOING STALKING COMPLAINT
June 4, 2026

Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet announced the arrest of a local man following an investigation into a series of incidents involving repeated unwanted contact, harassment, and violations of previously established boundaries. Deputies arrested Damion M. Gonzalez, 43, on multiple charges, in connection with the incident.

On June 3, 2026, Deputies were called to the home of a victim and learned she was having ongoing problems with a male suspect that she was previously romantically involved with. Since a breakup several months prior, the suspect has committed a pattern of behavior that included repeatedly contacting the victim after being blocked, attempting to communicate through the victim’s workplace, and returning to a residence from which he had previously been banned. Authorities also obtained evidence indicating the suspect continued these actions, even after a prior arrest involving the same victim.

During the course of the investigation, Deputies gathered surveillance footage, recorded communications, witness statements, and other evidence supporting the allegations. Based on the totality of the investigation, arrest warrants were obtained for charges related to Stalking and Entering or Remaining on Property After Being Forbidden.

Authorities later located Gonzalez, who was taken into custody without incident, and transported to the Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex. Gonzalez remains jailed on a $15,000.00 bond by local judges.

“Stalking behaviors should never be dismissed as harmless or insignificant,” said Sheriff Tim Soignet. “When an individual repeatedly ignores boundaries, continues unwanted contact, and refuses to comply with previous warnings or law enforcement intervention, the situation can quickly escalate and place victims in fear for their safety. The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office remains committed to investigating these cases thoroughly and taking appropriate action to protect those who may be at risk.”

The Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone experiencing harassment, stalking, or behavior that causes them to fear for their safety to report the activity immediately. Early intervention and documentation are often critical in preventing situations from escalating.
