You are W e l c o m e ! See what I did here?
1. Ladies, you can skip cooking & cleaning up. ( guys you can give her a night off) thanks to Corle’s Pit & Smokey Slice
2. Ladies, get extra points with the family without the hassle ( guys, this is the icing on the cake, so to speak, when you spoil her with dinner & dessert) , when you take home some delectable desserts from Bittersweet Bakery
3. Ladies, make it more special. Set a pretty table with a gorgeous flower jar or flower & pumpkin centerpiece from Hartflowercart . ( guys, flowers may fade, but the feeling she gets when you bring her something pretty like this will linger in her heart)
4. Ladies, if the kiddos are with you take a little break from each other while you are making your take home choices and send them over to Out of My Mind Cathi Neuhof for an awesome face painting experience. ( men, the kids will remember the time you chose to let them pick a style and be the canvas)
5. What's more, I will have Eucalyptus shower bundles available for a spa- like experience, simmer pot packs to enhance the scent in your home, fire starters for ambience and ease of flame starting in your fireplace or fire pit, a n d there will be some great prizes given away as well.
So yes, I have just made your Thursday evening so much more memorable and a lot less stressful if you just follow my plan. 😉😍😍

So much is happening in Somerset County this weekend between 911 remembrances at the Flight 93 Memorial, the festivities at Mountain Craft Days & The Fireman's Jubilee. I have several events I'm prepping for as well. In lieu of all that, Hartflowercart will remain C l o s e d this weekend

A lot has happened in 5 years. Back in 2021 we had just built my first little greenhouse and a raised bed. I was still figuring out what exactly I wanted to grow. My flower cart was being born. It was just an exciting year...amid an extremely turbulent world. I did my best, though, to not allow the chaos drag me into it's lair. The plants, the flowers, the projects were like flotation devices that kept me breathing above the muck. I am so thankful for the opportunities that sticking with this have rewarded me with.
I still have so much I want to do and provide for my lovely flower friends. Still, I have come a long way from that first year as a full time flower farmer/ florist. I couldn't have done it without my husband who did the building and most of the excavating, or you for supporting this little dream in whatever ways you could. Thank you.

If you hear me sobbing...this just might be the cause. In years past, now is the time I would have been buried in these glorious Lisianthus flowers. It was such an amazing feeling to be surrounded by these big, beautiful, abundant blooms. Unfortunately, this year has been the exception.
I start these from seed in early winter ( November-December) For months I nurture these teeny, tiny, slooooooow growing seedlings. Because they thrive in cooler weather, I plant them outside in early spring. Blooming usually starts later in June and continues until frost ( a little longer when I plant them under cover).
This year, the bone- chilling cold made the seedling process a bit more challenging in our basement. That slowed their growing process quite a bit. When I did get them planted outside, they were much tinier than I would have liked them to be. The voles, however, were more than happy to feast on the tender roots.
Needless to say, my hundreds of Lisianthus seedlings never made it to adulthood, and I have no lovely Lisianthus to enjoy or share with you this season. Herein lies the reason for my disparity.
I have handled this huge disappointment rather well, actually. But, I have moments where I just really feel that empty space that they should have filled.
I have made plans to dodge that bullet next year, but as I have learned over the years, today has its own set of problems and tomorrow will have a different set.
I wish I could have put a massive amount of these beauties into your hands this season, but a photo tribute from years past is the best I can provide for 2026.
Enjoy these beautiful memories with me. 🥰
