At 1523 hrs BTES along with our auto aid partners were dispatched to a house fire in the area of Conetree Trl. First arriving crews had significant fire showing. Crews remained on scene several hours to bring the fire under control. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries. The fire is under investigation by Blair Township and Michigan State Police fire investigators. We would like to thank all our auto aid departments that assisted.

ELEVATED fire danger is expected across much of northern lower Michigan today as dry vegetation and low relative humidity combine with gusty east winds. Please check the Michigan DNR website for burn restrictions.

We have lots of good things happening here at Blair Township Emergency Services!
We start with the hiring of three new full-time Paramedic/Firefighters!
Pictured are our new crew members: Ricky Dvorak, Kyle Dunklow, and Kyle Watson. All three are currently going through the orientation process and will begin their regular shifts mid June.
This addition to our staff will allow us to staff four people per shift Monday through Saturday. (Our part-time people usually fill in the open Sunday slot.)
We welcome them to our Blair family!
