Nevada County’s Veterans Service Officer David West is making a statewide impact! 👏 After years of advocating to shield veterans from illegal and excessive fees charged by unaccredited claims companies, David helped secure Senate Bill 694, a landmark law protecting veterans from benefit-stealing scams.

The law strengthens oversight and enforcement to prevent exploitation and ensures veterans can access the benefits they have earned at no cost through County Veterans Services Offices.
