Hey Truckee Families! ... and those visiting the area 😁

Truckee Police and CHP - Truckee are teaming up for a fun and educational Bike Rodeo on Wednesday, September 30, from 4:00–6:30 PM at the Truckee Elementary School playground!

Kids will have the opportunity to practice important bicycle safety skills, including checking for traffic, following traffic signs and signals, stopping safely, navigating obstacles, and avoiding common roadway hazards. Officers will also demonstrate basic bicycle handling skills and review the rules of the road.

We will also be hosting an educational session for parents focused on bicycle and e-bike safety, including important information to help families better understand safe riding practices and the rules of the road.

🚴 Have your kids bring their bikes and helmets!
🪖 Helmets will be checked for proper fit.
🎉 Don’t have a helmet? We’ll have helmets available!

Come learn, practice, and have some fun with us. We hope to see you there!
