Grasonville Senior Center Friends Gather Here! Members age 55+ may join any QAC Senior Center just by completing an "Intake Form"; It's free to join. Come take a tour.

We offer exercise and art classes, a fitness room, computer lab, hot lunch each day and so much more.

Join us tomorrow, Friday, May 15, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Queen Anne’s County 4-H Park (100 Dulin Clark Road, Centreville) for the 21st Annual Senior Summit, a free community event designed to connect older adults with resources, services, and fun. The theme for this year’s event is “Jockey Jubilee,” celebrating all things Maryland. Admission and parking are free.

This year’s event will feature a wide range of activities and services, including:
• Bingo beginning at 1:00 p.m.
• Exercise class demonstrations
• Dominic’s Farm petting zoo
• Hearing screenings
• Senior center booths and vendor resources
• Queen Anne’s County Mobile Library
• Rx medication roundup with the Sheriff’s Office
• Raffle prizes and giveaways
• Live broadcast by Draper Media

Food will be available for purchase from the Tri-County Ruritan, with cash-only options including cheeseburgers and pulled chicken meals.
Older Americans Month is a national observance that recognizes the contributions of older adults and highlights the importance of staying active, engaged, and connected within the community.

Join Queen Anne’s County Area Agency on Aging as we celebrate Older Americans Month with Spirit Week! Show your spirit by dressing up for each day’s theme:
Monday: Hat & Hair Flair Day (Hats, headbands, barrettes, clips, or ribbons with a touch of jockey flair)
Tuesday: Clubhouse Casual / Pajama Day (Comfortable clothes for watching the race!)
Wednesday: Blue Ribbon Day (Wear blue or a ribbon—because everyone’s a winner)
Thursday: Fun Glasses Day (Sunglasses, reading glasses, or colorful frames)
Friday: Maryland Day at the 4-H Park for Senior Summit (Wear red, black, gold, or Maryland flag gear—Orioles, Ravens, Terps, or crab-themed attire welcome)

Starting this May, a new Caregiver Support Group will meet at the Kent Island Branch on the third Tuesday of each month at 6 PM.

In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, this group offers a welcoming, supportive space for caregivers to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

Queen Anne’s County Department of Aging and Transportation will celebrate Older Americans Month this May with spirit week culminating in the 21st Annual Senior Summit, a free community event designed to connect older adults with resources, services, and fun. Grasonville Senior Center recently honored its' Volunteers at their annual Volunteer Luncheon. This year the event was catered by Mama Mias Italian Restaurant in Centreville, Md. Participants were treated to a delicious lunch and Hand Made Caramel / Chocolate Apple made by Oh My Chocolates in Stevensville, MD. In addition, each volunteer was presented with a personal Keepsake Gift created by Senior Center Manager, Ann Martin and Senior Center Aide, Lisa Dorrell. Stacy Voorhees, Senior Center Administrator presented the Queen Anne's County Volunteer Proclamation to the well derserving group.
