Tonight some of our friends from Remsen Ambulance joined us to receive hands-on training from our Stryker representative, Ryan, on our recently purchased defibrillator.

We recently celebrated the retirement of Greg Penning and Leon Pottebaum. The two of them combined for over 75 years of service, and their expertise will be greatly missed!

Greg joined the department in 1990. He served as Fire Chief from 1996-2016. During that time, he played an instrumental role in the project for the new fire station. Greg was also was an EMT for much of his tenure.

Leon was a member of the Germantown Fire Department from 1980-1984 and then joined our department in 1984. He was Fire Chief from 1990-1995.
