🌟 Big news from Granville Elementary! Michael Iozzi, a 3rd grade student, has been selected as a National Math Star — one of just over 600 students nationwide in the 2026 cohort.

Michael was chosen after a multi-stage evaluation of mathematical aptitude and eagerness to go deeper in STEM. Over the next ten years, all the way through high school graduation, Michael will receive mentorship, funding for advanced math courses, STEM enrichment materials, and invitations to math competitions and summer camps. Congratulations, Michael🎉

💭Understanding Granville Schools’ Financial Forecast💭

What does the latest financial forecast mean for Granville Schools...and for our community?🤔

Like districts across Ohio, Granville Schools’ funding comes primarily from local property taxes, along with income tax revenue and state funding. As costs increase, enrollment changes, and revenue sources shift, thoughtful financial planning becomes increasingly important.

A few key points from the latest forecast:
🔵Property taxes continue to provide the largest share of district revenue.
⬜️Deficit spending is projected to begin next year.
🔵The district will request renewal of the income tax in fall 2027.
⬜️Additional funding will likely be needed in 2028.

✏️Financial forecasts are updated twice each year, providing a transparent look at the district’s financial outlook and helping us plan responsibly for the future while remaining accountable to our taxpayers.
