We were truly honored to present the colors at this year’s Grantsville Sociable. It’s a privilege to take part in such a meaningful tradition that brings our community together.

A special thank you to Firefighter E. Clark and Firefighter C. Ward with the Grantsville City Fire Department, alongside Officer A. Garlick and Officer M. Torres with the Grantsville City Police Department, for representing our departments with pride and professionalism.

We’re proud to stand shoulder to shoulder with our brothers in blue—working side by side in service to the people of Grantsville City.

This is the perfect reminder to check the devices that help keep your home and family safe.

Take a few minutes today to make sure your smoke detectors are ready:

- Check and replace the batteries if needed
- Check the manufacture date — most smoke detectors only last 10 years
- Know the sounds your smoke detector makes so you can react quickly
- Install detectors in every bedroom, hallway outside sleeping areas, and on every level of your home
- Test your smoke detectors monthly to make sure they’re working properly
- Practice a home escape plan with your family so everyone knows what to do in an emergency

MONTHLY SAFETY REMINDER:

Even without snow this winter, it’s important to keep at least 3 feet of clearance around all fire hydrants at all times.

Please avoid parking vehicles, placing landscaping, fences, decorations, or any other objects near hydrants. In an emergency, clear access allows firefighters to connect hoses quickly and get water flowing without delay.

Seconds matter, and your help makes a real difference in keeping our community safe.

Thank you for doing your part!
