When it’s cold in Oregon, respiratory illnesses such as the flu, colds and strep throat become more common.

Cold weather does not directly cause illness, but winter conditions help viruses spread more easily.

Here are some steps you can take to help keep you and your family healthy this winter.

Ask your health care provider or local pharmacy for more information on getting seasonal respiratory vaccines.

You can also search for a clinic by ZIP code at vaccinefinder.org.
