MONTHLY REPORT FOR THE GRANT FIRE DEPT/PERKINS COUNTY AMBULANCE
Perhaps you noticed members of the local Fire Department appear to be a step slower than normal, perhaps they are in need of a little rest from concluding one of the busiest months in the history of the Grant Fire Department and Perkins County Ambulance.
For the month of August 2026, the Grant Fire Department and Perkins County Ambulance Responded to 38 incidents during the month, thus averaging greater than one response per day (1.26 reponses/day). The August incidents were divided into 4 fire responses, and 34 EMS incidents which included 4 trauma responses, 12 medical incidents, 2 Cardiac situations, 8 long distance transfer events, 2 motor vehicle accidents, 2 Flight for Life deployments, and 4 other EMS incidents.
Training in July was vehicle operations, beginning of EMT training, railroad emergencies, and checking the cities fire hydrants.
