Residents of Granite Shoals,

As many of you are aware, the city had to hire an interim Finance Director (Budget Consultant) to assure that we had a balanced budget by our deadline. I’ve seen a lot of discussion and misinformation being put out on social media in regards to this. For full transparency, I will be releasing a statement to the public at our September 26th council meeting with a timeline of events and what has occurred. I will be presenting facts as to what has transpired with our city financials. I urge you all to attend our council meeting. If you can not attend in person, we do have the option to zoom in. This is an extremely serious matter, and I believe the residents need to know the truth. There is currently no evidence of anything illegal or unethical but I have major concern with the lack of management of our city finances.
