Yesterday Alex Geerdas, John Aus, and Mike Haff of the Granite Falls Street Department brought us the World War I cannon! They were able to set it up for us right in front of our Military Display, so it's nice and ready for everyone to come take a look!

We at the museum appreciate these gentlemen for all they did and would like to say a big thank you to them!!

The museum will be closing early today due to no power. We are expecting to be open at our regular time (10am) tomorrow!

Happy Mother's Day weekend!💐 And Fishing Opener! 🎣
We will be open today and tomorrow from 10am to 5pm. So come take a look around in the museum. We are right next to the Memorial Trail leading to Memorial Park, and have a great location on the river for some fishing!

The Yellow Medicine County Historical Society would like to send our their condolences to the family of the Wood Lake firefighter who passed away last night. Our thoughts and prayers go out to them.

Our thoughts and prayers also go out to the other family that was in the accident, and we hope for a fast recovery to them.

Welcome back Tarin!

Tarin is back from his 10 months of studying at Oxford University in England and he will be manning the Andrew J. Volstead House Museum today!
