The City’s Planning Commission is holding a public hearing on potential amendments to the City Zoning Code to establish clear, enforceable standards for data center development.

This public hearing does not involve the review or approval of any specific data center. No data center application has been submitted to the City.

The Planning Commission is a citizen advisory board charged with holding public hearings to gather citizen input on zoning amendments in order to provide a recommendation to the City Council.

For those new to reviewing our City Council Agendas, we are sharing the following details:

All public meeting agendas are posted approximately five (5) days in advance on our official website at www.granitecity.illinois.gov. City Council Agendas are also physically posted on the exterior doors of City Hall for residents who may not have internet access.

Once the minutes from prior meetings are approved by the Council, they are uploaded to our website under the “Minutes” tab for public access.
