Gather your friends and family together for a low-cost night of fun at Jester Park’s Outdoor Recreation and Wellness Center.

Opportunities will be available for bouldering (ages 4+) and archery (ages 10+), playing a variety of family games and puzzles, and enjoying time outdoors, or in, by the fire making s’mores.

$5 per person; children under 4 are free, no registration required.

If you are looking for native Iowa plants to add to your garden this summer, this event is for you! 🌱

Polk County Conservation is partnering with Prairie Landscape of Iowa to host a native plant sale on June 13 from 9am - 12pm. Stop at the Jester Park Outdoor Recreation and Wellness Center to browse from over 50 types of native plants, each requiring minimal care with maximum benefit to local wildlife and landscape.

The Jester Park Outdoor Recreation and Wellness Center will also be selling rain barrels for $50. Perfect for your garden, these barrels promote water conservation and offer a recycled water source. Stock is limited, so be sure to get yours at the plant sale!

Tonight's kickoff of the first Prairie Stomp Summer Music session at Sleepy Hollow has been canceled due to rain and floor warnings.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but we hope to see you at one of the other nine events coming to Sleepy Hollow, Athene North Shore Recreation Area, and Jester Park. The next in the series is set to take place at Athene North Shore Recreation Area on June 11 at 5pm.
