This will be our 6th year of hosting the NNO for the City of Granger. Parking will be at a premium with the new sidewalk construction. Don't let that deter you from coming to the park and having a good time. I enjoy meeting the people, and I want your feedback on how your Police Department is doing. There will be hot dogs with condiments, DJ music, ice cream, coloring books, water, and Gatorade. The Fire Department will be there with their big red, shiny engine. We will have our units on display for the children to admire and explore.
Come on out for a good time!

We ensured the traffic pattern, per the school's diagram, was being followed. To accomplish this task, we blocked off Ash Street at Mustang Street, east and west. The City deployed detour signs, but somebody decided to steal some of the signs. Therefore, we will not be deploying any more signs, but by now you should be familiar with the route. Ash Street will remain closed until the construction project on Alligator Road is finished.

We will enforce the law against persons caught going around the barricades. They will be there from 6:00 AM until 4:00 PM daily during the week.

Yesterday, I was informed that there have been several near-misses at the elementary school during drop-off and pickup because cars were going the wrong way on Colorado Street. To solve the issue, I have placed barricades on Ash Street. The barricades are at Mustang and Ash, blocking westbound traffic on Ash Street. The other barricade is on Ash Street just east of the employee parking lot in front of the gyms. This will allow employees and parents access to the employee parking lot. Anyone who drives around the barricades will be subject to receiving a citation under state law. I intend to ensure the traffic flows as the school intended when the construction began on Alligator Road. Please pass this message to your friends and family members.

Good morning, Granger residents,

I received this in my inbox, so I want to pass it along to you. Feel free to disseminate it to your friends and family to make them aware of the construction starting today! Please find an alternate route to avoid Alligator Road.

Subject: 2021 CDBG/ARPA Wastewater System Improvements - Mobilization to Jobsite

Good afternoon,
I wanted to let you know that I will be assisting with this project going forward, as Jeff is no longer with Blackrock Construction.
We plan to mobilize to the site on Monday, August 31, 2026, to begin the bore crossing beneath E. Davilla Street. E. Davilla Street will remain open during the work. We will temporarily close a small section of N. Alligator Street between E. Davilla Street and E. Ash Street, as shown in the attached traffic control plan.
We also plan to notify the residents within the affected section about the temporary closure and our construction activities. Please advise whether the school should also be notified and, if so, who the appropriate contact would be.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Thank you,

Juan Izaguirre
