We have just gotten confirmation that an MH-60T Jayhawk COAST GUARD HELICOPTER will be flying over and, time permitting, may do a touch and go. 🚁✈️ A BIG shout-out to the crew making this happen: Lieutenants Taglianetti and Bolduc piloting, with Aviation Maintenance Technician (AMT/Flight Mech) Steven Menich and Aviation Survival Technician (AST/Rescue Swimmer) Dalton Jorgenson in the back! 👏🥳

We extend our congratulations to Levi on successfully completing the Ottawa County Fire Academy. We appreciate your commitment to community service and anticipate your probationary period with the department, during which you will gain proficiency in operating our equipment.

Our congratulations also go out to all graduates of the 2026 Ottawa County Fire Academy.

Last Tuesday, the Jamestown Fire Department conducted a training session on vehicle extrication. This training is highly beneficial, as firefighters frequently respond to incidents involving accidents. The capacity to promptly assess a situation and effectively utilize appropriate tools can significantly influence the outcome. It is of utmost importance that our firefighters are proficient with all of our tools and equipment. We engage in rigorous and regular training to ensure our skills and knowledge remain current within an evolving environment.

A big thank you to Grand Valley Towing LLC for delivering and setting up the vehicles for the training. We appreciate your willingness to support our firefighters.

On Tuesday, our firefighting personnel conducted training exercises focused on water supply from tankers and aerial operations. These sessions are crucial for maintaining proficiency in operating pumping equipment and various vehicles, ensuring our team is fully prepared for actual emergency scenarios.
