After 21 years of service on the GVISD Board of Trustees, Keith Miller is stepping away from a role he has carried with steady commitment and deep love for this community. His guiding goal never changed: do what is best for kids and help Grandview remain the place that shaped him, first as a student and then as a parent.
Keith speaks with gratitude about the three Superintendents he served alongside — Keith Scharnhorst, Joe Perrin, and Kirby Basham — leaders he describes as blessings who shared the belief that Grandview needed to stay Grandview.
Tricia Miller has been there through it all, supporting the work behind the scenes and capturing his final night of service with her camera. She called the moment bittersweet, proud of the years Keith devoted and the impact he helped make.
Superintendent Kirby Basham sums it up simply: “Keith has never sought recognition for his service. For 21 years, he simply showed up, asked the right questions, and made decisions based on what was best for our students and our community. He is a Zebra through and through and it has been an honor to serve alongside him.”
