This is just some of the damage from this storm. Majority of all streets are cleared of big trees. Some power is out in town. Please if you see power lines down do not go near them immediately call 911. We will be out first thing in the morning to do more of a damage assessment around the city. Stay safe tonight.

Tonight could get very interesting. Please pay attention to warnings and local officials. If we get over 80mph winds we will be sounding the storm sirens and opening the shelter since those are very destructive winds. There will also be heavy rain some 2 inches an hour. So local flooding will occur. Please be vigilant tonight and keep an eye on the weather.

Confidence is increasing in a line of storms moving quickly east across the area this evening. These storms will be capable of producing widespread damaging winds, especially across north-central KS. Be sure to keep an eye on the weather this evening, particularly if you've got outdoor plans.

Be prepared next week🚨🚨🚨 Grandview Plaza, Kansas Police Department City of Grandview Plaza

ALERT: A portion of I-70 is expected to close overnight for bridge replacement in Junction City to place bridge girders and continue progressing on the bridge replacement at J-Hill Road:

• At 7 p.m. Monday, April 6, WB I-70 will temporarily close at J-Hill Road and reopen at 7 a.m. Tuesday, April 7.
• At 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, EB I-70 will temporarily close at J-Hill Road and reopen at 7 a.m. Thursday, April 9.

During the closures, traffic will be diverted up and down the interchange ramps, and local traffic will be unable to access I-70 at exit 299 (J-Hill Road).

King Construction of Hesston is the prime contractor of the bridge replacement project, which is scheduled to be complete by July, conditions permitting. For more info on highway construction, visit kandrive.gov.
