Did you know that the chemicals we use on our lawns and gardens can end up in stormwater runoff? Here are some simple steps to minimize the environmental impact:
Use Chemicals Sparingly: When applying fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides, follow recommended guidelines and avoid overuse. Less is often more when it comes to chemicals.
Check the Weather Forecast: Timing matters! Before applying any chemicals, check the weather forecast. Avoid doing so right before a heavy rain or storm. Rain can wash away the chemicals directly into storm drains.

A clearly visible house number is a safety essential. When emergency responders, delivery drivers, or visitors need to find you, those numbers are their guide. City code requires that every new and existing residence display address numbers that are:
Plainly visible from the street
Contrasting with the background
At least 4 inches tall with a 0.5‑inch width
Arabic numbers or alphabetical letters

Clear numbers help firefighters, police, and medical teams reach you faster when seconds matter. A small update can make a big difference in community safety.
