🚨 THANK YOU, Between the White Lines Organization! 🚨

The Grandin Rural Volunteer Fire Department would like to extend a huge thank you to the Between the White Lines Organization for their generous donation of 9 Guardian Angels and a safety vest to our department.

These tools help improve the safety of our firefighters and personnel while operating at traffic control incidents and crash scenes — helping protect our responders while they work to protect others.

Support like this makes a real difference for small rural departments like ours. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity, your commitment to first responder safety, and your dedication to making roadways safer for everyone.

Thank you for standing beside those who serve our community.

This Memorial Day weekend, the members of Grandin Rural Volunteer Fire Department ask everyone to take a moment to remember what this holiday is truly about.

Memorial Day is not just the start of summer. It is a time to honor the men and women of our Armed Forces who gave their lives defending this country and the freedoms we enjoy every day.

As we gather with family, cook out, travel, and enjoy the weekend, please do so safely and responsibly:
• Don’t drink and drive
• Watch your speed on rural roads
• Use caution with grills, campfires, and fireworks
• Keep an eye on changing weather conditions

Our volunteers stand ready to serve this community day and night, just as so many before us stood ready to serve this nation.

From all of us at Grandin Rural Volunteer Fire Department — thank you to the fallen heroes and the families who carry their memory forward.

Have a safe and blessed Memorial Day weekend.

Grandin Rural Volunteer Fire Department is a dues and donation supported department. We receive no tax-based funding and rely on the support of our community to continue protecting the rural areas we serve.

Today, we proudly recognize and honor all nurses on International Nurses Day.

Nurses are often the calm in the middle of chaos. They work long hours, make difficult decisions, comfort families, and care for people during some of the hardest moments of their lives. Their dedication, compassion, and professionalism make a difference every single day.

Here at Grandin Rural Volunteer Fire Department, we work alongside nurses regularly, and we know firsthand the important role they play in emergency care and patient outcomes. We are grateful for the nurses in our communities, hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, schools, and emergency services.

To all nurses — especially those serving in our rural communities — thank you for your sacrifice, your heart, and your commitment to caring for others.

We appreciate you today and every day. 🇺🇸🚑❤️

When the Call Comes, We’re Already There

At Grandin Rural, you’ll never just be a “call volume” statistic. You’re our neighbor. You’re the family down the road, the business on Main Street, and the kids in our neighborhood. That’s why, when an emergency happens, it’s not a stranger who responds—it’s us.

A 100% Volunteer Team

We are an all-volunteer department. This means that every man and woman who answers a call is a member of this community who has chosen to serve. We are driven by a simple belief: when our neighbors need help, we show up.

Our Unwavering Commitment

Our strength isn’t just in our fire trucks or equipment; it’s in our people. Our volunteers juggle jobs, families, and personal lives, yet they relentlessly dedicate themselves to rigorous training to ensure we are prepared for any crisis. We respond to everything—from serious medical calls and highway accidents to structure fires and community service. When you need us, we are ready.

Join Our Story

This department belongs to the community. We are powered by the support of the people we serve. Whether you support us through a donation, attend our fundraising events, or choose to join our ranks as a volunteer, you are a vital part of our team.

We are proud to serve you, and we are grateful for your continued support.
