Grand View Ambulance would like to express our sincere appreciation to the Owyhee County Commissioners, the Idaho EMS Saves Grant program, and all individuals who contributed to making this achievement possible. Over a two-year period and through a total investment of $320,000, we acquired a new ambulance to replace our 25-year-old vehicle. The 2009 ambulance will now serve as a backup unit.
The Owyhee County Commissioners generously provided the final funds to purchase the vehicle outright, ensuring the service remains debt-free. Again, Thank you to everyone that made this project a success.

Hi, I am Jodi Jewett an Advanced EMT for Grand View Ambulance.

I have been a resident of Grand View for 23 years. We have four children and two grandchildren. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration with a Concentration in Healthcare Management. Over the past 20 years, I have developed a strong interest in learning within the healthcare and naturopathic fields. In 2018, I was fortunate to pursue additional education through an EMT course offered by Grand View Ambulance. Within a year and a half, I sought to advance my skills and enrolled in a class in Boise to obtain my Advanced EMT certification. Since 2019, I have been working full-time for Elmore Ambulance Service as an Advanced EMT. In 2022, I earned my instructor license, enabling me to teach EMT courses, as well as becoming a CPR instructor. Currently, I am teaching in a training program for Grand View Ambulance with 12 students who will become new EMTs this July. I truly enjoy this career and am grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community as a volunteer.

In 2023, Grand View Ambulance Directors approached me about taking on a leadership role as an EMS Coordinator. I accepted the position, primarily focusing on supply management, EMT education, and handling any necessary paperwork to ensure our ambulance services remain compliant with state licensing requirements. I am very grateful for the retired EMTs who have paved the way for the success of our ambulance service. George and Donna Bennett established a legacy over 50 years ago for this community, and we sincerely appreciate their many years of volunteer service and dedication. Their efforts have helped build a program that we are committed to continuing, growing, and improving.

Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, traveling, and engaging in various crafts. We have a passion for hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and relaxing on our property in Featherville. Additionally, gardening and canning occupy much of my time during the summer and fall months.
