PUBLIC NOTICE
City of Grand Saline
Notice of Solid Waste Collection Rate Increase

The City of Grand Saline wishes to inform all residential and commercial utility customers that the monthly solid waste collection rates will be increasing due to a rate increase imposed by the City's contracted solid waste collection provider.

The revised rates will go in effect and will appear on utility bills beginning August 2026.

This increase is necessary to cover the higher cost of providing solid waste collection services and to ensure the continued reliable collection and disposal of residential and commercial refuse.

The City of Grand Saline appreciates your understanding and continued support as we work to provide dependable public services to our community.

๐Ÿ’ง Infrastructure Maintenance Continues ๐Ÿ’ง

On June 15, 2026, US Underwater Commercial Dive Team was on site at the Tower Street Ground Water Storage Facility performing important maintenance work to help protect and improve our water system. The dive team removed accumulated sediment from the storage tank and completed necessary repairs to ensure the facility continues operating efficiently for our community. Routine maintenance like this helps extend the life of critical infrastructure, maintain water quality, and support dependable service for Grand Saline residents.

Thank you for your patience as we continue investing in the long-term health of our water system.

The CPR Event Tuesday June 30 at the City Pool is a FREE event to teach the skills of hands-only CPR and choking (including the LifeVac Westyn Mandrell Foundation). This is NOT a certification course. Dr. Horwitz does teach three different certifications which all come with a 2-year card: CPR/AED, CPR/AED/FIRST AID, AHA BLS (healthcare providers). If you are interested in a certification class, please text Dr. Horwitz directly at 214-531-7939.
You do not need a certification card to save a life! You need certification if your employer/regulatory body (healthcare, safety manager), the state of Texas (Foster/Adoptive Parents, Childcare workers) requires it.
