VESSEL SAFETY CHECKS

Have you scheduled a vessel safety check for your boat yet? Many boats are still just going in the water and its a great time to reach out and schedule a complimentary vessel safety check. We'll review all of the required safety equipment that you are required to have. So whether you have a power boat, sail boat, jet ski or paddlecraft, we are here to assist you.

Don't belong to a yacht club or organized marina? You can schedule a VSC by simply going to the following link and providing your info. An examiner will be forwarded your information and will contact you to make arrangements to conduct the check. Go ahead, schedule a VSC today.

Both the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary and the United States Power Squadrons have certified vessel examiners who will perform a free Vessel Safety Check ("VSC") at your boat, at a time of mutual convenience. Boating season is just about here and it’s a great time to contact the Auxiliary to schedule a Vessel Safety Check (VSC). A VSC is performed at your boat and can be done in your driveway to your local marina or yacht club. A vessel safety check usually takes 15 to 30 minutes, depending upon the size of your boat. Remember that paddlecraft are also considered recreational vessels and a VSC can be performed on them as well.

Vessels passing safety checks are awarded a U.S. Coast Guard / Auxiliary Decal that informs the Coast Guard, local Sheriff’s and Police that your boat was in full compliance with all Federal and State boating laws during a safety check for that year.
