Given the excitement of today, I wanted to take a brief pause and thank everyone. It has been an incredible privilege getting to better know the Westside. Win or lose, I intend to continue trying to make life better for our community. There's much work to be done, but together we can build a better future.

I'd also like to thank my opponent Carol Hennessey for running a spirited campaign free of the bitterness that so often surrounds races like these. We both have the best of intentions for our community, and regardless of tonight's results, tomorrow we're all Americans.

A final thank you to my wonderful partner Erica Ogrodzinski, my family, and the countless friends who have been a continuous outpouring of love and support.

Together, we can change tomorrow.

Good morning West Michigan! We're down to the final hours before polls open. Tuesday's primary election will be the first real test of my 'roll up your sleeves' style of campaigning. While I've done much of the hard work, now I leave everything in your hands. Please help me spread my message!

1.) I've run this campaign on a simple principal of doing the most good for the most number of people, seeking out common sense solutions. Let's make the business of governance as effective and efficient as it should be. People before politics, period.
2.) I am a self funded candidate. Big endorsements and big donors were not solicited. Instead I've run a no frills campaign reaching new people everyday by going to where they are.
3.) I'm using nothing but my wits and a smart phone. No endless robots calling you. No nasty attacks on my opponent. Just myself with a clip board knocking one door at a time to listen to people.
4.) If elected I will continue to work tirelessly to the benefit of every Westsider in Grand Rapids. Since filing on April 18th, I've attended over 100 community events and knocked on ten times as many doors. It's been great responding the hundreds of questions, comments, and concerns.
5.) Millennials now tie Baby Boomers at the polls. I've spoken to dozens of young people and encouraged them to run in the future in their communities. I'll continue this effort indefinitely and make myself a resource to other young people to do good for their communities.

It's been an incredible experience, enlightening and educational. The support I've received has been tremendous. I'd like to thank everyone for the opportunity to give back to this fantastic place we call home.

I humbly ask for your vote Tuesday, August 2nd.

What a beautiful day to be outside! Spent the afternoon with West Michigan's very own Tommy Brann for State Representative, walking the parade. He was actually handing out steaks! Today at 4 is Kielbasa Idol! Only 5 bucks and you can taste all kinds of delicious Polish goodness! And if you still need a little more sun, it's free fishing weekend in Michigan today and tomorrow. I hear the bluegill are bitting hard, so take the young ones out and enjoy our beautiful lakes and streams! Have a great weekend everyone!

Friends, family, and those that I’ve crossed paths with in life,

Today I have the privilege of announcing that I will be running for your County Commissioner for the 14th District, better known as the Westside of Grand Rapids.

As a lifelong resident of Grand Rapids, I will fairly and accurately represent the attitudes and values of my district with dignity and integrity. Many of you have known of my work both in and around the city, and my love for this place we call home. My youthful passion and energy will make the Westside proud, and ensure our voices are heard at the table when those times come around.

Today, it often feels like the arena of politics has become a spectacle of egos and false promises. It is my intention that the voters of the 14th District will have a representative that they not only know, but can honestly relate to.

I look forward to speaking with the residents of my district, to hear your personal stories of struggle and triumph, and listen earnestly to your concerns for the Westside. Together we can make this city the greatest place to grow our dreams and our families.
