It takes a collaborative effort to keep a community safe and vibrant. The Eastown Community Association is devoted to recruiting volunteers and coordinating activities to maintain the vitality in Eastown. Each year we organize dozens of activities, facilitate public dialogues on key issues and are responsible for thousands of volunteer hours toward neighborhood clean-ups, beautification projects, family-friendly activities, and numerous other projects to improve the quality of life for Eastown residents, business owners, and visitors.

Get ready to bring some color to the 2026 Eastown Streetfair!

Head over to the Fun Filled Fairgrounds (our dedicated kids and family area on Ethel) for our hands-on Tie-Dye Tent!

Here is everything you need to know to get creative:

Bring Your Own Garment: Have a favorite white tee, canvas tote, or pair of socks sitting at home? Bring your own garment to dye for free! (100% cotton recommended)

Youth Shirts Available: We have a limited supply of youth t-shirts on-site available for an optional donation

Grab the kids, pick your favorite colors, and leave with a one-of-a-kind wearable souvenir. See you there on 9/19!

The 53rd Annual Eastown Streetfair on Saturday, September 19, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m! This outdoor festival will take place along Wealthy Street between Giddings Avenue and Lake Drive and the first block of Ethel Avenue.

There will be a craft b**r and cocktails tent, food vendors, live music, and over 100 booths featuring some of Michigan’s finest artists, craftspeople, and community organizations — all free!

This event is generously supported by the Eastown Business Association, Eastown Pediatric Dentistry, Yesterdog, BC Pizza, Smittys, Sticky Fingers, Rebel, Terra Bagels, The Blissful Clean, Harmony, Uptown GR Inc., Discover Tourism GR, LMCU, Pure Real Estate (Eastown Flats & Fulton Square), Short's Brewing Company, Eastern Kille Distillery, and the City of Grand Rapids.
