Community Forum for Veterans with Attorney General Keith Ellison

On November 12th from 4:00pm – 5:00 pm, the Attorney General of MN, Keith Ellison will be in Grand Rapids for a veterans’ forum on Claim Shark companies.

The Yellow Ribbon is looking for 12 veterans that would like to come to Rapids Brewing Co. on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at 9 am to make the Veteran's Brew for Veterans Day. Call the Itasca County Veterans Office at 218-327-2858 to get on the list.

Reposting from the Itasca County Veterans Council: To all Itasca County Veterans! Our council will be hosting a meeting on October 30th at the Itasca County Courthouse at 6pm.

The meeting will be held in the county boardroom. This meeting is being held to facilitate any veteran that would like to attend and share with the commissioners their thoughts, concerns, and have discussions about the suggested moving of the County Veterans Service Office into the courthouse. Any veteran attending will also be able to see the suggested space if they so wish to. We ask that any veteran wishing to attend to please come with having discussion in mind and be respectful in the meeting. Again, our council is not trying to sway peoples opinions one way or the other, but rather just trying to get all of the information to as many veterans as we can, and hold the order of the meeting. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Enrolled Veterans have several options for getting a free VA flu shot:
1. With another scheduled VA appointment at all locations between mid-Sept. thru Dec.
2. Walk-Thru flu clinics (no appointment needed)
3. Drive-Thru flu clinics (no appointment needed)
4. At in-network community retail pharmacies or urgent care locations. To find an in-network community pharmacy or urgent care location, use the VA Facility Locator: https://www.va.gov/find-locations/. Please verify in-network status.
