Thank you to our recent volunteer groups for helping restore and care for our parks through trail stewardship, invasive species control, and park cleanups:

🌳 Millennium Park: Baton Collective, Byron Center Christian Schools, and West Michigan Environmental Academy
🌳 Palmer Park: Founders Brewing Co., Grand Rapids Gold, and Robert Half
🌳 Seidman Park: Amway Sustainability Club and Goodwillie Environmental School
🌳 Creekside Park: Legacy Christian School, Kentwood High School, and Trane Technologies
🌳 North Kent Trails: Alger Middle School and Hudsonville Christian School
🌳 Reuhs Park & Dwight Lydell Park: Job Corps and Crystal Flash
🌳 Fallasburg Park: North Country Trail Association volunteers for National Trails Day
🌳 Johnson Park: West Michigan Mountain Biking Alliance (WMMBA) and Scouts from the W2 and W3 Chapters of Mishigami Lodge

Together, these groups are helping to keep our parks healthy and welcoming for all!

Looking for FREE things to do outside with the family or significant other this summer??? β˜€οΈπŸ“–

We're teaming up with Kent District Library to bring reading beyond library walls through their Summer Wonder program. Enjoy scavenger hunts, outdoor storytimes, StoryWalks, bookmobile visits, and moreβ€”all while exploring some of your favorite parks, and maybe some new ones along the way!

As a bonus, children who sign up for Summer Wonder or the Grand Rapids Public Library Summer Reading Challenge will receive a FREE family day pass to Millennium Park and Beach!

We had so much fun this past Saturday at our annual Discover! Millennium Park - FREE Nature Event!

A special thanks to our many friends who helped bring the Hansen Nature Trail to life for our tiniest residents. 🌳✨

From turtles and possums to decaying logs and the bugs that call them home, we’re already looking forward to next year!
