πŸ“£ You’re invited to help shape the future of the our parks, trails, recreation programs and public spaces through the development of our 2027–2032 Parks and Recreation Strategic Master Plan! From future investments to improvements to programming throughout the parks system and more, this plan will serve as a roadmap for our department.

✍️ To kick things off, we've launched a survey to help identify common priorities, learn how you use our parks, and explore new opportunities for recreation and connection.

πŸ™‹ No matter how often or how little you visit a park or attend a program, we want to hear from you! Your experiences and ideas will help inform the next chapter of Grand Rapids Parks & Recreation.

πŸ”— Stay tuned for more ways to engage with the master plan and get started with the survey at https://engage.grandrapidsmi.gov/w70366

πŸ₯³ Yesterday, City leaders, state officials and regional partners gathered to celebrate a major construction milestone of the Grand River Edges Trail – Leonard to Ann extension, a key connection in the Grand River Greenway.

🀝 Significant progress is already underway and the project is approaching its halfway point. This project reflects years of planning, collaboration, fundraising, and coordination among numerous public and private partners.

🚴 This 0.75 mile, 12-foot-wide segment will link downtown Grand Rapids to Riverside Park and connect West Michigan communities to each other and the Grand River from Lowell to the Lakeshore.
