Grand Rapids Township Fire & Rescue We are 100% volunteer department serving nearly 1,600 residents of Grand Rapids Township.

In addition to the 14 square miles of Grand Rapids township, we also offer water rescue for ~9 miles of the Maumee River in Grand Rapids and Washington Townships.

🚨🚨 East 4th St between Sycamore Rd and S Pansy Ln is closed due to a gas leak.

Please avoid the area.

We will update as we get more information.

The residents that need to shelter in place have already been advised.

📢 Wood County residents can sign up now for a new emergency notification system to stay alert during severe weather and other potential emergencies.

Wood County Alert (powered by Everbridge) will be used to send local notifications about severe weather, emergencies, road closures, public safety alerts, and other important updates. Users can choose how they prefer to be contacted, including by text message, phone call, email, or a mobile app.

The new system replaces Wood County’s previous emergency notification platform, CodeRED. It is important to note that prior registrations for CodeRed will not transfer, and all users will need to create a new account to receive alerts.
