Hi, all!
My name is R***r and I’m looking for my furever home. I’m estimated to be 🦴🦴🦴🦴 (four) years old and have been at the Prairie Paws shelter since September of last year. I'm a big-hearted dog who's always up for a game of fetch 🤩. You see, I'm a playful guy who loves a good run around the yard. But don't let my playful nature fool you, I'm also quite brave 🫡. I've faced some tough times, like being heartworm positive, but I don't let it get me down. My treatment is included with my adoption and will be administered at the shelter! Sometimes, I can be a bit timid, but with a little patience, I'll warm up to you 🥹. As you can see, I’m also office-approved by the amazing people at Grand Prairie’s Dispatch Center. They say I sounded the best on the radio 🤭💛

Today, our agency had the honor of celebrating the retirement of our ECC Manager, Aubry Insco. Aubry served the City of Grand Prairie for 25 years & is leaving behind a legacy for her constant innovation & passion for our field. She is well known and respected in our field and although we hate to lose her, we are so excited for her new adventure in leading Fort Worth’s 911 Center. Aubry, we will miss you greatly!!! Thank you for everything! You are an AMAZING for Ft Worth 🖤💛🖤 PS- We won’t hold you until 2025 😉

NNO Kick Off Party was a success! Our amazing citizens stopped by to learn some 911 knowledge and asked great questions 😁 Thank you so much for all the wonderful conversations and for helping us spread 911 information. Earlier this week, our Emergency Communications Center had the honor of donating some well deserved goodies to Dallas PD dispatchers. The loss of an officer is one of the worst things a dispatcher can experience yet they are still pushing through the pain & showing up for their city. Please join us in keeping them in your thoughts & prayers as they navigate this difficult loss. Officer Darron Burks will never be forgotten 💙🖤💛

GPISD Closed tomorrow, September 5, 2024.

Based on current information regarding the city’s water issue, we feel it's in the best interest of our students and staff to close tomorrow, Thursday, September 5, 2024. We will continue to monitor this situation in anticipation of reopening Friday.

For students in our Early College program, we are making Dallas College aware that GPISD will not provide transportation tomorrow.

Also, we will have a grab-and-go lunch for GPISD students only (secondary students will need their ID, since elementary students do not bring their ID home, they will not need to have their ID.) tomorrow from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. at the following locations:
