Again this year, Grand Prairie ISD has two high schools that are among the Best in Texas. We are honored to once again recognize Grand Prairie Collegiate Institute for being ranked 14th in Texas and Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy for being ranked 36th in Texas by U.S. News & World Report’s Best High Schools rankings.

You may be thinking, “Why should I fill out the Free and Reduced Price Meals application?” You could be eligible for many great benefits and resources for your child. Grand Prairie ISD would like to dispel another myth about free and reduced-price meals. Hear what GPISD students have to say about the Free and Reduced Price meal application.

🚨 As a reminder, this application must be renewed every school year, or benefits will stop after 30 days of the school year. Also, students not participating in the free and reduced-price meal program will be required to pay for meals.�
We encourage all GPISD families to submit an application even if you think you may not qualify. To apply now and/or check the status of your application, visit http://www.gpisd.org/freemeals. This past week was a great start to the new school year, with Convocation, New Teacher Orientation, and meaningful professional learning. It was wonderful to have our teachers back and to see the energy and excitement building as we prepare for another successful year. We are grateful for the opportunity to come together to prepare for a safe and positive start for our scholars.
