Sallye Moore College and Career Preparatory is a PreK4-8th grade school of choice in Grand Prairie ISD

We offer a comprehensive program that will nurture and develop well-rounded learners. We believe in giving students the opportunity to experience different college and careers by exposing them to the choices that are out there so they can make informed decisions about their futures. We will bring in universities and take students on enriching field trips to reinforce our curriculum. Our goal is to teach our students organization, study skills, and how to experience and present information through technology by utilizing technology as a learning tool. Our goal is for each of our students to become critical readers and writers. Through our curriculum, students will engage in foreign language studies, CTE, fine arts, and be fully immersed with college and career readiness opportunities through field trips to universities and visits from colleges and career professionals. Sallye Moore Elementary transitioned to Sallye Moore College and Career Preparatory beginning in the 2017-2018 school year. The school is now enrolling students in Pre-K through 8th grade.

Grand Prairie ISD offers Optional Mobile Device Insurance for students. The cost is $20 /per device, per student.
There are two ways to pay:
1. You can pay online with My School Bucks https://www.myschoolbucks.com
2. You can pay with cash or check at the campus.

Please remember, the final day to purchase this insurance is October 31, 2026. After this date, the insurance will no longer be available for purchase. The coverage will protect your student's device until the end of the school year.

You may be thinking, “Why should I fill out the Free and Reduced Price Meals application?” You could be eligible for many great benefits and resources for your child. Grand Prairie ISD would like to dispel another myth about free and reduced-price meals. Hear what GPISD students have to say about the Free and Reduced Price meal application.

🚨 As a reminder, this application must be renewed every school year, or benefits will stop after 30 days of the school year. Also, students not participating in the free and reduced-price meal program will be required to pay for meals.�
We encourage all GPISD families to submit an application even if you think you may not qualify. To apply now and/or check the status of your application, visit http://www.gpisd.org/freemeals. We want you to be in the know! Grand Prairie ISD’s annual Sneak-A-Peek at our elementary campuses is coming next Thursday, August 6, from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. GPISD extends an invitation to your family to visit your child’s campus for Sneak-A-Peek. Your child will be able to find their new classroom, meet their teacher, and drop off their school supplies.

This is a great way to ensure they are ready for the first day of school on Tuesday, August 11.

Please also note that beginning May 11th, Sallye Moore will be a Backpack-Free Zone, and the GPISD Personal Communication Device Policy will be strictly enforced for all students.
