Well here I am on my soap box ringing the distress bell for EMS in Grand Marais once again!! We are watching our community CHANGE and GROW with more tourism, tourist related businesses, ORV’s , snowmobiles, and an aging population! All of which tax our aging EMS crew! Many times I have warned that we cannot hold out much longer without help! Yes we have days in which EMS coverage for Grand Marais comes from other communities! Unless there is change, the time will come when EMS from another community will be the permanent and only solution!
You can help be part of the change!
Alger County will be hosting a training site in Munising. Share this, post this, spread the word! Even better, sign up for the class and join our small group of dedicated EMS providers!
You can contact me directly and I will
do everything I can to get you thru the process! (Message me)
EMS is still declining here in Grand Marais! Businesses and tourism continue to grow and tax our aging EMS crew. Will the community continue to grow without EMS and fire services??
