GRAND MARAIS: WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Emergency Medical Technician Course - Starts October 8, 2020
The UPHS School of EMT is excited to offer a Hybrid Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Course this fall. Course locations include Marquette and our distant sites. Munising needs 6 students to hold in-person classes there.
The Hybrid EMT program is comprised of both online course work, in-person classroom/practical skills lab, and clinical rotations.
Online course work is completed at home on your own schedule.
The online coursework includes lectures, assignments, quizzes and more. The Hybrid program gives students the flexibility of completing the online portion around their own schedule, while still meeting assigned due dates.
Throughout the program, student will also be attending in-person classroom sessions that will be held on scheduled Thursdays. During these sessions, students will review course material and develop their practical skills.
Students will be required to complete 40 hours of clinical rotation during the course. These hours will be spent at various hospitals and EMS agencies located across the UP. You can do your clinicals at a hospital near you.
Cost of Tuition is $1300 for the EMT program. This does not include the cost of textbook or admission requirements (drug/alcohol screen, health screen/physical, required vaccinations, etc). SEE BELOW
