- STATEWIDE TORNADO DRILL on Wednesday, March 18, 2026 -
Please share this important message from Eaton County Emergency Management regarding:
1. Wed., 3/18/2026, at 12:59 PM, a Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) will be sent to all cellphones.
2. Wed., 3/18/2026, at approx. 1:00 PM, local tornado sirens will be tested.
As part of Michiganβs Severe Weather Awareness Week, on March 18, 2026, Eaton, Calhoun, Clinton, and Ingham Counties and the City of Lansing will do a TEST of the Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system. This test will be sent to all cell phones in the four counties listed and the City of Lansing. The test will occur at 12:59 pm, ahead of the 1:00 pm Voluntary Statewide Tornado Drill.
