It is located in Eaton County with a small portion in Clinton County, Michigan just outside of Lansing along the Grand River. An estimated 7,783 people live in Grand Ledge. The government is comprised of the Mayor and seven Council members representing the City’s three wards.

PUBLIC NOTICE: Temporary Road Closures for Yankee Doodle Day, Saturday, June 13, 2026

This Saturday is the Grand Ledge Area Chamber's Yankee Doodle Day celebration. With events starting at 9:00 AM and ending at midnight, please take extra caution when traveling in and around the downtown area.

PARADE ROAD CLOSURE: From 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Jenne Street, near Sawdon, to the fire barn on North Bridge Street, will be closed to all vehicle traffic.

FIREWORK BRIDGE CLOSURE: From approximately 9:00 PM (dusk) to approximately 11:00 PM, the bridge on Bridge Street will be closed to all vehicle traffic. Pedestrians can watch the fireworks from the bridge as well as a number of downtown city parks, as noted on the maps.

A GIANT Thank You to our incredible community! The new ADA playground at Jaycee Park was made possible by the tremendous support from individuals, families, businesses, and organizations. On Saturday, we celebrated much more than a new playground. We celebrated what can be accomplished when a community comes together.
