Are you a current resident living within the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) District with an interest in the revitalization efforts within the DDA District?

The City of Grand Ledge is looking to fill nine (9) spots within the DDA Citizens Council. To be considered, you must live within the DDA District and submit an application. Applications can be found at www.cityofgrandledge.com/472.

Applicants who are selected and appointed by the City Council will be expected to:
• Attend 2-4 meetings over the course of the next 6-9 months
• Share local knowledge and lived experience as a DDA District resident
• Ask questions and share your downtown perspective on opportunities and concerns
• Review and offer constructive feedback on DDA District development plans

BREAKING NEWS!

With all of this wonderful sunshine, Mayor Mulder has requested that the splashpad stay open a few more days!

We welcome everyone to come out to Jaycee Park, 525 E. River Street, and enjoy the splashpad through Sunday, Sept. 13, 2026!

The splashpad will be open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM through the 13th, so come on out and enjoy it! Thank you, Mayor Mulder!

PUBLIC NOTICE: Grand Ledge City Hall will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026, in honor of Labor Day.

City Hall will reopen with normal business hours on Tuesday, September 8th from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

🌩️ Severe Weather Update for Thursday, September 3rd, 2026 – Eaton County

Strong to severe storms are expected to increase this afternoon and move through the area by approximately 6 PM.

⚠️ Main concerns:

Damaging winds up to 60 mph
Large hail
Locally heavy rainfall
Minor flooding in low-lying and poor-drainage areas

Additional thunderstorms are also possible overnight tonight.

Please keep an eye on changing weather conditions this afternoon, have multiple ways to receive alerts and warnings, and be prepared to take action if severe weather approaches your area.

The Grand Ledge Police Department, in cooperation with the Grand Ledge Public Schools and the City of Grand Ledge, has mapped out the designated Safe Routes to School for the 2026-2027 school year.

Please note the designated crossing guards within the commonly used routes for students who walk or ride their bikes to school. For more information, please visit https://www.cityofgrandledge.com/378/Safe-Routes-to-School.

Grand Ledge Public Schools and St. Michael Catholic School will both begin classes on Tuesday, August 25th.

All vehicles and pedestrians are encouraged to use extra caution, especially before the school day begins and after it ends.
