In collaboration with the Young Professionals Network of Mesa County, we’re thrilled to share that nominations for the BestSlope NEXTGen Award are now open.

This award honors exceptional professionals age 45 and under who are driving progress as entrepreneurs, leaders, and advocates for local business.

From Mesa to Montrose, Garfield to La Plata, and every county in between, we’re looking for individuals who:

✔ Work for an active business in the region
✔ Lead with integrity, initiative, and vision
✔ Show innovation and growth in their field
✔ Make a meaningful impact in their industry and community

Honorees will be recognized at the awards ceremony following this year’s Young Professionals Summit in August.

We had a fantastic time at Koi Ramen & Sushi for this month's Networking@Noon!

From the fresh, delicious sushi to the generous lunch portions and welcoming staff, Koi provided the perfect setting for meaningful conversations and new connections.

What makes Networking@Noon special isn't just exchanging business cards. It's taking the time to get to know one another, learn about each other's businesses, and build the relationships that strengthen our local business community. Throughout the lunch, we heard genuine conversations, shared experiences, and plenty of opportunities to connect.

A huge thank you to the Koi Ramen & Sushi team for their outstanding hospitality and to everyone who joined us. You know an event is a success when people are still sitting around the table talking long after the scheduled hour has ended!

This Friday, June 12th, local student entrepreneur Roan Baldwin will represent the Colorado at the Young Entrepreneurs Academy National Competition.

You don't have to be in Texas to cheer him on. The Semi-Finals will be streamed live beginning at 7:30 AM Mountain Time.

Day 1 of the Chambers of Colorado Fly-In is in the books.

Joining 5 partner chambers from across Colorado, our time in Washington, D.C. began with an opportunity to appreciate our nation’s capital before turning our attention to the work ahead. The afternoon included policy briefings and discussions with our partners at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, providing valuable insight into the federal issues shaping the business climate across the country and here in Western Colorado.

We wrapped up the day with a special tour of the U.S. Capitol, a reminder of the importance of engaging in the policymaking process and ensuring the voice of Mesa County businesses is represented at every level of government.

Today, we head to Capitol Hill to meet directly with members of Colorado’s congressional delegation and advocate for priorities including healthcare affordability, workforce development, water, energy, and reducing unnecessary regulatory burdens.

Today, we join so many across our community in mourning the loss of Bob Jess.

Bob was a longtime Chamber staff member, volunteer, member, and friend whose impact on our organization and community spanned decades. Whether he was greeting guests at Business After Hours, capturing photos at Chamber events, welcoming visitors to our region, or simply sharing a kind word and a smile, Bob embodied the spirit of service and community.

His dedication, generosity, and genuine love for people touched countless lives, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He made both our Chamber and our community better.
