A cold front moving through the region is bringing deterioriating conditions to much of western Colorado mountain passes and some surrounding valleys, with continued snow impacting travel. Sun is already breaking out across eastern Utah and portions of northwest Colorado in its wake. Expect improving conditions late this afternoon into the evening with dry conditions overnight. More snow is on the way for Saturday as a stronger and colder system moves through.

The snow helped. But we’re not in the clear yet. The fire danger is still real in Colorado. Be careful this weekend. And if you’re in the fire zones, be on alert.

Slow Down, Move Over Colorado hosted a ‘Saturday Night Cruise’ as an initiative to encourage drivers to do exactly that, and keep first responders safe.
